What is a Guardian?
Understanding The Need
There are currently an abundance of elderly and disabled adults in our county who have no one to help them. Sometimes people can reach a point in their lives where they are unable to make medical or legal decisions and have no family to turn to. A great deal of citizens in our area face neglect, abuse, and are abandoned in nursing homes. Without our advocacy, these individuals run the risk of mistreatment and homelessness.
How Can I Make a Difference?
This 501(c)(3) non-profit was formed to provide guardian angels to protect those in need by advocating, protecting, and being there for those who have no one else. This includes assistance with medical decision making, end of life planning, and many other things which a person may be unable to do by themselves. The Guardianship Office of the Tenth Circuit, Inc. continues to reach as many individuals possible through generous funding from private organizations, individual donors, and both private/government grants.
